According to the Tuscaloosa News, Alabama defensive end Brandon Deaderick has been shot. According to their report, he was shot once in the forearm. Reports from other locations are indicated two wounds. Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson says that the injury is not life-threatening. UPDATE: DCH Spokesperson Brad Fisher has indicated that Brandon is in "good" condition. He is being admitted to a regular hospital room, and not the intensive care unit. If you have a BamaOnLine.com subscription, head over there to see Christopher Walsh's article that has more details. It's a premium site, so I won't post it here. Reports indicate that this was a failed robbery attempt, and according to Walsh's story, Deaderick might have been coming to the aid of a female being robbed.
